What customers say?

“ Absolutely exceptional. Creative, delicate, profound flavors in friendly environment with great prices. We had the prawns in garlic sauce, fish soup, grilled cod, and mine was….the house specialty…I can only describe it as a savory egg soufflé enveloping a mild white fish, with savory bread pudding. And then a cinnamon custard pie. Holy moly. Go eat here. You’ll be happy you did. ”

“ I have been to Lisbon multiple times and always come back here. Lovely local place with good food. The Clams are good and the prawns in garlic sauce to crave for. The pork with clams was not my favourite but I tried some of the grilled meat and they were all great. I always have crème brûlée or the chocolate mousse. Service is ok. Prices have gone up during the here but I guess it’s understandable. Would definitely recommend ”

“ Good typical Portuguese food! My son gave me a great tip: dad this place is so good they do not need to invite customers to sit! And he was right. All around was almost empty plenty of guys inviting to sit; this place was full people waiting for an outside table. And food was indeed delicious! ”

- Juan Manuel Paez Ayala -

“ Very old school. In the middle of a party area in Altos Barrios. I had “cod cookies” which were baccalo cakes. The swordfish was actually a delicate white fish not that usual giant meaty steak. The potatoes were the saltiest I have had but then one didn’t need any salt added. The wine was only in half of whole bottles. Nothing by the glass. ”

“ Everything was perfect! It can’t get any more authentic than this. We loved the food and the ambiance. Muito Obrigada! ”

- Liz Cabrera -

“ The waiters were so kind and fast. The vibe was outstanding right in the middle of the Lisbon streets. The entries were good and the main dish was delicious. However, I would add a bit more quality on the sides - fries and rice. The Desert was very nice and traditional. Overall it's not a cheap restaurant. ”

- Joao Pedra -

“ Very good service with friendly server and chef, food was excellent and well priced. They had plate of the day my wife and I both tried, the veal was excellent. Cash only restaurant. ”

- Matthew Rupp -

“ In the middle of chaotic Chiado, lies this family owned Portuguese restaurant with commendable culinary offerings. The food comes in a generous portion, simple presentation yet wholesome as a meal. They select the best wines to be paired with the food. We had the Verdelho which is delicately smooth and amazing to enjoy with food or over a conversation. ”
